| :::Geologic Data Management And Provision System |
This is a subordinate project with an aim in advancing the "Challenge 2008, Program on Major Issues on
National Development/Digitizing Taiwan/e-Government/Open, Digitized Government Information/GIS" Project.
The Central Geological Survey will fulfill the role of a navigating pilot in achieving a GIS system for the
nation, as well as in establishing a sound data access and communication system for use by the general
public. The following presents results of execution for the current fiscal year.

Drafting the criteria for data on digitized geological map sheets |

Results for the fiscal year included: Performed acquisition, analysis, review and evaluation on topical
issues, revision of criteria and verification.

Administration and operation on services for map file provision |
| |
Routine administrative operations include establishing map files, design and create map file folder
packages, revising web page, documentation, inquiry services. During the current fiscal year 56 map files
on map sheets were established, of which 6 were in vector format, 50 as image files. Down load 2,202 files.

| C. |
Functional expansion to the integrated geological information query system, and information expansion |

The following presents results of administration and operation: Performed requirement planning, planning of
relevant accessory operations, filing of data, preparation for presentation on-line, and integration of said
accessory operation plans. Total number of persons using the site amounted to 24,863.

| D. |
Cooperated the "GSI System for Government Ministries and Departments" |
| |
Cooperated and assisted in the "Data Bank System on Engineering Geological Exploratory" a daughter project
under the Ministry of Economic Affair's "Data Bank on Fundamental Information on Natural Environments, GSI",
and the Ministry of the Interiors' daughter project "Exchange, Communication and Query System for GIS
Catalogues", under the MOTI's GIS grogram.
